The hiking area - the Salten

The walks to the Salten with its rich mountain flora and the panoramic view on the ridges close to, cheer each and every mountain lover. The Salten indeed is ideal for easy long walks as there are only slight drops.

It has also a particular charm in each and every season of the year: In springtime you do not have to miss the blossoming of the crocus. In sommertime it is a pleasure to have a rest from hot weather and efforts under a larch. In autumn the Salten turns red, the pathway is covered with red larch needles and the nature shows all its coulorful variety and beauty. If there is a lot of snow during winter, you can make an easy cross-country skiing trip or to please yourselves with a winter walk and have a warm cup of tea afterwards in one of the many refuges.
