Tradition, duftende Kräutersträuße und Sommergefühle: Wir wünschen euch einen wunderschönen 15. August! ☀️🌸

An diesem besonderen Feiertag steht ein alter Brauch im Mittelpunkt: das Binden und Segnen der Kräutersträuße. Bis zu 99 verschiedene Heilkräuter, Blumen und Getreideähren werden gesammelt – als Dank für die Gaben der Natur und als Schutz vor Unwettern und Krankheit für das kommende Jahr. Nach der feierlichen Messe nehmen viele den duftenden Strauß mit nach Hause, wo er einen Ehrenplatz bekommt.

Tradizione, mazzetti di erbe profumate e atmosfera estiva: vi auguriamo un meraviglioso 15 agosto! ☀️🌸

In questa giornata festiva speciale, al centro dell’attenzione c’è un’antica usanza: la preparazione e la benedizione dei mazzi di erbe. Vengono raccolti fino a 99 diversi tipi di erbe medicinali, fiori e spighe di cereali, in segno di ringraziamento per i doni della natura e come protezione dalle intemperie e dalle malattie per l’anno a venire. Dopo la messa solenne, molti portano a casa il profumato mazzo, dove gli viene riservato un posto d’onore.

Assumption Day 🌿✨

Tradition, fragrant bouquets of herbs, and summer vibes: We wish you a wonderful August 15th! ☀️🌸

On this special holiday, the focus is on an ancient custom: the making and blessing of herb bouquets. Up to 99 different medicinal herbs, flowers and ears of grain are gathered – as a token of gratitude for nature’s bounty and as protection against storms and illness for the coming year. After the festive mass, many take the fragrant bouquet home, where it is given a place of honour.

Anche qui da noi l’acqua potabile pulita non è scontata: è un dono prezioso della natura. 💧

A milestone for mobility in Jenesien and Bozen: currently under construction, but well worth the wait! 🏗️ Launching in 2028, it will be one of the most modern reversible bicable ropeways:

Come responsabili dei sentieri ci impegniamo a tenere in ottime condizioni e a segnare i sentieri intorno a San Genesio il meglio possibile.🥾Perciò, i nostri diligenti manutentori sono stati nuovamente attivi negli ultimi giorni: hanno rimosso i cartelli escursionistici logori, illeggibili e danneggiati e li hanno sostituiti con nuovi indicatori. Un sincero grazie!🙏💚

As trail responsibles, we are committed to keeping the hiking trails around Jenesien in the best possible condition and well marked.🥾Our diligent trail workers have been on their way in recent days: they removed weathered, unreadable, and damaged hiking signs and replaced them with brand new markers.
