🎉Wir feiern dieses Jahr 75 Jahre Tourismusverein Jenesien – und nehmen euch heute in Teil 3 unserer Serie weiter mit auf unsere Zeitreise⌛😍

Nach Meilensteinen wie der Eröffnung der Seilbahn (1937) und dem ersten Ortsprospekt über Jenesien (1955) brachten die 1970er Jahre weitere wichtige Impulse - z. B. neue Wanderwege, Blumenwettbewerbe, eine Rodelbahn und ein Loipengerät für den Winter sowie die Eröffnung des Freischwimmbades. Kooperationen mit umliegenden Verkehrsvereinen und das erste offizielle Büro stärkten außerdem die Professionalität der Vereinsarbeit.

🎉Quest’anno celebriamo i 75 anni dell’Associazione Turistica San Genesio – e oggi, nella parte 3 della nostra serie, continuiamo a portarvi con noi nel nostro viaggio nel tempo⌛😍

Dopo tappe come l’apertura della funivia (1937) e il primo opuscolo su San Genesio (1955), gli anni Settanta hanno portato ulteriori impulsi importanti, ad esempio nuovi sentieri escursionistici, concorsi di fiori, una pista per slittini e un'attrezzatura per sci di fondo per l'inverno, nonché l’apertura della piscina. Le collaborazioni con associazioni turistici circostanti e il primo ufficio ufficiale hanno inoltre rafforzato la professionalità dell’associazione.

🎉 This year we celebrate 75 years of the Jenesien Tourism Association – and today in part 3 of our series we continue taking you on our time journey⌛😍

After milestones such as the opening of the cable car (1937) and the first town prospectus about Jenesien (1955), the 1970s brought further important impulses - e.g. new hiking trails, flower competitions, a toboggan run and a cross-country ski trail device for winter, as well as the opening of the outdoor swimming pool. Collaborations with neighboring tourist associations and the first official office also strengthened the professionalism of the association.

Die Seilbahn von Bozen nach Jenesien kurbelte ab 1937 den Fremdenverkehr an – und die Gründungsmitglieder des Pro-Loco-Verschönerungsvereins (ursprünglicher Vereinsname) reagierten prompt: Dorfzugang gepflastert, Sitzbänke aufgestellt, Orientierungstafeln und Wegweiser angebracht. Im Winter gab es Rodel- und Skirennen. 1955 wurde der erste Ortsprospekt gedruckt, in dem Jenesien aufgrund seiner Staub- und Lärmfreiheit als "Riviera der Dolomiten" beworben wurde...

La funivia da Bolzano a San Genesio fece decollare il turismo a partire dal 1937. I membri fondatori dell'Associazione Pro-Loco per l'Abbellimento (nome originale) reagirono prontamente: l’ingresso al paese pavimentato, panche messe in posa, pannelli informativi e cartelli direzionali installati. In inverno ci furono gare di slittino e sci. Nel 1955 fu stampato il primo opuscolo locale, in cui San Genesio fu promossa come la “Riviera delle Dolomiti” per la sua assenza di polvere e rumore...

The cable car from Bolzano to Jenesien kicked off tourism from 1937. The founding members of the Pro-Loco Beautification Association (original association name) reacted promptly: the village entrance paved, benches installed, information boards and directional signs set up. In winter there were tobogganing and ski races. In 1955 the first local leaflet was printed, in which Jenesien was promoted as the “Riviera of the Dolomites” due to its dust- and noise-free environment...

🎉Wir feiern heuer 75 Jahre Tourismusverein Jenesien – und nehmen euch in unserer Serie mit auf eine kleine Zeitreise⌛😍

📍Alles begann am 19. Januar 1951: 16 engagierte Jenesier gründeten den „Pro-Loco-Verschönerungsverein“ und legten das Ziel fest, "Verständnis und Sinn für die Verschönerung von Jenesien zu wecken [...], um so das äußere Ansehen zu verbessern und den Aufenthalt angenehmer zu gestalten”.

Schon vorher hatten Sommerfrischler Erholung auf Bauernhöfen in Jenesien gesucht. Mit dem Bau der ersten Seilbahnverbindung der Region nahm der Fremdenverkehr noch mehr Fahrt auf. Deshalb setzten die Gründungsmitglieder schnell erste Maßnahmen um...

📍Tutto ebbe inizio il 19 gennaio 1951: 16 cittadini impegnati di San Genesio fondarono la “Pro Loco per l’abbellimento”, definendo l’obiettivo di “promuovere la consapevolezza e il senso per l’abbellimento di San Genesio […], migliorandone così l’aspetto esteriore e rendendo il soggiorno più piacevole”.

Già prima, villeggianti estivi cercavano ristoro nei masi a San Genesio. Con la costruzione della prima funivia della zona, il turismo ricevette un ulteriore impulso. Per questo i soci fondatori misero rapidamente in atto prime iniziative…

📍It all began on January 19, 1951: 16 dedicated locals founded the “Pro Loco Beautification Association”, setting the goal to “foster awareness and appreciation for the beautification of Jenesien […], thereby improving its outward appearance and making stays more enjoyable.”

Even before that, summer visitors had been seeking relaxation on farms in Jenesien. With the construction of the first cable car in the region, tourism gained even more momentum. Therefore, the founding members quickly put first initiatives into action…
