Haflinger horses - blonde mane and a lot of heart

Get to know our special four-legged friends in their home country

With their golden-brown coat, blonde mane and gentle nature, Haflinger horses, which have their roots here on the Tschögglberg, are very special four-legged friends. This clever and powerful breed of horse has been bred and kept with great passion in Jenesien since the middle of the 19th century. Once reliable helpers in agriculture as well as pack and pack horses during the war, they are still loyal companions today. Our beloved Haflinger horses can now be found in many other countries around the world and are used for a wide variety of disciplines, tournaments and competitions due to their versatility. Especially here in their homeland on the Tschögglberg, they also play a major role in many traditional events.

Experience the Haflingers
You can get up close and personal with our Haflinger horses in the extensive paddocks around Jenesien, and in the autumn months sometimes even free-range on the Salten, Europe's highest larch plateau above Jenesien. And of course at the numerous riding stables, which invite you to lessons and guided rides for all levels of experience, carriage and sleigh rides. The good-natured, even-tempered animals are considered ideal for beginners and therapy horses, move perfectly in the terrain thanks to their sure-footedness and are true all-round talents. That's why they are simply a wonderful animal partner for all horse lovers - and those who want to become one. Will you also be enchanted by the irresistible charm of our Haflinger horses?
