Find all the key information here:
- With the mushroom permit, which you can obtain from the municipal office of Jenesien or online via the South Tyrolean revenue service's ePayment portal for a fee of €10.00 (per person/day), you may pick mushrooms in Jenesien on even-numbered calendar days between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, provided you are over the age of 14 (otherwise only when accompanied by an adult who meets the requirements). The payment receipt and valid ID must always be carried with you while picking, as they may be checked by authorities. Local residents only need to carry a valid ID.
- In your municipality of residence, you may pick up to 2 kg of mushrooms per person per day – outside of it, the limit is 1 kg. Always make sure not to damage mushrooms at their growing site, as this could destroy their essential natural symbiosis with forest trees. Transport your harvest in firm, open, well-ventilated containers to avoid crushing them and to keep them fresh for longer (see Provincial Law of 19 June 1991, No. 18, as amended).
And now – enjoy mushroom picking in Jenesien!
