This hiking tour will guide us to a ruin called "Leiterburg", then to a long stone staircaise and finally to Ora. From the ruins we will have a marvellous view of South Tyrol's south.

Starting from Aldino the trail no. 1 leads us to Ora, crossing a farm, a ruin called “Leiter” and a stone staircase with approximately 530 steps. From the ruin we will have an amazing view of the south of South Tyrol and coming to Ora we will pass a waterfall.
By following the trail no. 1 we reach the farm “Karnolhof”. There we turn westwards until we reach a high ground with the ruin “Leiter”. Here we get a fantastic view of the southern villages and mountains of South Tyrol.

Getting to the starting point of the tour or point of interest by public transport is easy and convenient.

Coming from Auer or Neumarkt you drive along the Fleimßtaler Street until the turn-off to Aldein/Maria Weißenstein. From there approx. 6 km along the main road to Aldein and take the road on the right into the village centre until you reach the car park.Parking
