Auf dieser Etappe geht es vom Blauburgunderdorf Montan bergauf nach Aldein – von 500 m ü. M. bis auf 1.200 m ü. M. Zu Beginn der Etappe kommt man über den Wein-Wald-Wasser-Weg am imposanten Schloss Enn und dem dazugehörigen Elsenhof vorbei. Anschließend geht es entlang der alten Bahntrasse und durch Föhrenwälder, wie sie hier an der südwestlichen Flanke des Cislon üblich sind, weiter zur Aldeiner Brücke – zu ihrer Bauzeit in den 60er-Jahren „kleine Europabrücke“ genannt. Hier können Wanderer eine Pause einlegen und einkehren. Danach geht es hinab zum Weiler Holen und hinauf nach Aldein.
