Where time stands still? As early as 1505, Bolzano's high society was drawn to the Ritten during the hot summer months. With the construction of the cog railway from Bolzano to the Ritten around 1907, the Ritten finally became the cradle of summer retreats. This traditional summer retreat lasted exactly 72 days. It began on June 29, “Peter & Paul's Day,” and ended in early September. Let yourself be inspired during your hike along the promenade...
