The pleasures of nature – discovering Altrei with all your senses is a family hike in Trudner Horn Nature Park, leading from Altrei to Fraulalm and the hamlet of Guggal, before returning to Altrei. Along the route, local associations present traditional crafts and customs, such as “Lergetsammeln”, the traditional extraction of larch resin, which is still practised in and around Altrei today. Food stands and an entertainment programme for children complete the experience.

From Bolzano, take the train to Neumarkt-Tramin railway station. From Neumarkt continue with bus line 144 towards Altrei and get off at Altrei, Zentrum.
