Hofstatt – Murundum Trail No. 6

From the main square, we walk up Obergasse to the “Mariahilf Bildstöckl”. Along Mariahilfgasse, we enjoy views over the rooftops of Kurtatsch. Passing the Eberlehof farm, we turn right at Königshof heading north onto a forest road, and shortly after turn left onto a steep mountain path leading west.

We follow the old Graun path for a short stretch, passing beneath the climbing wall “Marderplatte”, and continue through woodland to the hamlet of Hofstatt. Along the old road, we descend into the valley and enjoy the view over the Unterland at the “Orianpichl” with its three cypress trees.

We then continue briefly along the edge of the main road, passing Ansitz Altlehen and Ansitz Nussdorf, as well as the old mill and the plague wayside shrine, before returning to the starting point via Endergasse.
