The Saurian Trail takes you on a journey to the Permian, about 260 million years ago, a time during which the rocks and fossils of the Bletterbach Gorge and the Dolomites were formed.

Start from the Geoparc Bletterbach car park and walk along the forest road past the visitor centre and reach the first dinosaurs after 5 minutes. Follow the circular trail through the shady forest with a view of the Weißhorn and the Bletterbach gorge and return to the starting point after an hour.
The cosy, sunny Lahneralm, which lies directly on the trail, is a great place to stop, soak up the sun and relax. There are also dinosaur tracks to discover at the new playground.

From Neumarkt or Ora/Auer to Aldein/Aldino and towards Lerch to the Geoparc Bletterbach visitor centre.From Bolzano through the Val d'Ega/Eggental, to Nova Ponente/Deutschnofen and Petersberg/Monte San Pietro to Aldein/Aldino in the direction of Lerch and to the Geoparc Bletterbach car park.
