Widum Baumann

The farmstead was first mentioned in the mid-13th century. It was later designated as a "Widum Baumannhof", which translates to "land belonging to the parish manager or provider for the church", and its large bread oven enjoyed particular popularity.

The old farm was gently renovated and extended. Only parts that were broken were replaced, while everything else was carefully preserved. Its own water, its own electricity, wood chips from its own forest – a completely self-sufficient reality.

On the sunny slopes of the organic Widum Baumann farm, at an altitude of 1,048 meters, apples ripen with a very unique flavor profile. A very gentle pressing process results in a delicious apple juice, available as a blend or as single-varietal. The farm's own mountain apples are also refined into an exquisite apple cider.

Seven varieties of wine grapes are also cultivated. Following ancient tradition, these are produced as a field blend, meaning they are harvested together and fermented jointly in wooden vats or amphorae.

Suckler cow husbandry, along with the cultivation of vegetables and radicchio, complete the sustainable management of the farm.
