Mölten - Stoanerne Mandln - Schermoos
Mölten
This challenging mountain route takes us to the prehistoric cultural site of the "Stoanernen Mandln". No one knows exactly why the stone towers were stacked on this elevation and what significance they hold. Some legendary stories attempt to shed light on the meaning of this mystical place. In spring, the crocus bloom is overwhelming, in autumn the larches on Salten show their most colorful side. Noteworthy is the Mölten sandstone quarry that we pass by.
There are opportunities to stop at the following huts: Sattlerhütte, Mölten Kaser, Jenesinger-Jöchl-Alm, and Lanzenschuster.
Upon arrival at the Schermoos parking lot, you can choose to hike back to Mölten in about 40 minutes or take the bus from Schermoos to Mölten.
