The starting point of the hike is at the parish church in Montan (497 m). To the left of the Bartholomew Church, trail no. 4 leads to Enn Castle, which towers high above the village of Montan. The old railway track is crossed, and the hike continues along the Windischweg. Here you will find open larch meadows with many species of orchids. Following trail no. 4, the idyllic pine forest leads to the Rienznerhof. From there, it goes steeply uphill to the Rienzner-Legher on path no. 1 to a mountain meadow.

Across the meadow and the moderately ascending forest path, you reach the Cisloner Alm (scenic high plateau – 1,249 m). Here in the heart of the Trudner Horn Nature Park, nature invites you to dream. The return route follows path no. 2. After about 2 km, path 3A turns left and leads to the Kalditsch farms. From there, trail no. 3 goes back to the center of Montan.
