We recommend to wear good footwear and to bring enough food and water, because this hike is very demanding and there are no places to eat along the route.

The hike starts on Via Aldino in Bronzolo/Branzoll. At the end of the street, past the sports area, trail no. 6 begins, climbing steeply right from the start. Over approximately 5 km, hikers gain 850 meters in elevation, reaching around 1100 m.
At the junction with trail no. 17B, you have a choice: trail 6 continues to the mountain village of Aldein/Aldino, while trail 17B leads to Lake Göller and the “Rotwand” viewpoint. Nestled in the forest, Lake Göller is an idyllic spot, perfect for recharging after the challenging, roughly three-hour hike.
From there, trail no. 17 leads directly to the centre of Aldein. Returning to Bronzolo is easy: the public bus runs hourly, with transfers in Montan/Montagna and Auer/Ora.
