The Pilgrimage Route follows the slope through chestnut and mixed forests over the Ritten. On the Keschtnweg from Klausen to Barbian and further to Lengstein, then to Siffian and Unterinn. From there, over path 12 up to Wolfsgruben and down via Oberbozen to Bolzano. Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque churches and chapels, hospices, castles, and palaces, as well as countless artworks created by significant painters and sculptors, await pilgrims directly along the path.
Below Oberbozen, on a hill, stands the church of St. George and James. The apse conch is occupied by the Pantokrator, enthroned on a stepped throne surrounded by the four Evangelist symbols and the figures of the Deesis. The key for the church is available at the tourism office at the Oberbozen station.
