To the Montiggler Lakes

A relaxing bike day in the Eppan biking region is promised by the e-bike route to the Small and Large Montiggler Lake. On hot days, this route can be perfectly combined with a refreshing swim in the clear lakes. The route starts from St. Michael-Eppan and continues through the wine village Girlan | Eppan on quiet side roads to Schreckbichl, passing some traditional wineries, and then southwards into the Montiggler Forest with beautiful shady sections. Finally, you first reach the Small and then the Large Montiggler Lake, which locals also like to use for a swimming outing. With this swimming break, the nearly two-hour bike route can be extended to a full-day tour. On the way back, the route passes the idyllic hamlet of Montiggl | Eppan through woods and finally returns via the bike path to the center of St. Michael | Eppan.
