The starting point of the hike is the village square in Andrian. First, you walk up Bindergasse towards Festenstein. After about 400 m, turn left into Krippweg and reach the forest between houses of Hocheppanerweg. The marked path (Mark 2) leads, sometimes steeper, sometimes flatter, past Kreideturm to Hocheppan Castle. The view towards Bozen and the Schlern from here is beautiful. After a relaxing break at the castle tavern and a visit to the art historically valuable frescoes in the castle chapel, you return to Andrian along the same route.
