Start from the free parking lot Kircheben above Mölten: We follow the signs to the “Mölten Kaser” on hiking trail no. 15, passing the water reservoir. After about 20 minutes, we cross the road and follow trail no. 15 A. Below the Sattler hut, we turn right onto trail no. 17 and hike up to the weather cross. There we take a short break and enjoy a breathtaking mountain panorama as well as a sea of crocus flowers as far as the eye can see. Afterwards, we continue on trail no. 17A to the Lanzenschuster mountain inn, where we can refresh ourselves with fresh dishes. Then we continue toward Fahrer Weiher. After the Unterfahrerhof, we turn right onto trail no. 17 B and walk past Fahrer Weiher. We leave the meadows and enter the forest, where we change to hiking trail no. 1 over the so-called “Rindelwiesen”. From there, we continue on trail no. 9 to Lingeralm, where we enjoy a homemade cake. Afterwards, we follow trail no. 18 back to the starting point at the Kircheben parking lot.
Total hiking time: approx. 3 – 3½ hours
Directions
By car coming from the Brenner, take the A22 motorway to the Bolzano South exit, then follow the MEBO expressway towards Merano until the Terlano exit. From there, take the mountain road to Mölten.
