Roadbook
After a short ascent, a partly narrow but well-secured path leads through the sunny porphyry walls of the Brantental valley. After approx. 1.5 hours you reach the Hochegg farm with a magnificent view that covers the entire Val d'Adige/Etschtal valley.
From there a wide path, shaded by chestnut trees, leads past the Brunnerhof farm and then to the Steinerhöfe, a double farmstead with a chapel. The walk from the Schwabhof farm to here takes about 2 hours.
The descent back to Laives begins at the Steinerhöfe farms. Trail no. 11 leads past the chapel on the left and crosses the asphalted Via Montelargo several times downhill until it joins the Via Pietralba at the level of the Hotel-Garni Grüner Baum.
