From Jochgrimm, the trail leads up over the ski slope to the top station of the ski lift. From there, it continues a bit steeply and rocky along the ridge to the highest point. Alternatively, the slightly less steep path via the southeast ridge (path no. 573) can be chosen.
The descent leads down the south side of the Schwarzhorn towards the Flaim valley. Shortly before the Kugeljoch, the path turns right, after which we follow path no. 14 back to the starting point.

Directions

You leave the A22 motorway at the Bozen-Nord exit, follow the signs to the Eggental and continue towards the Lavazèpass. From there, head west towards Jochgrimm (driving time: about 35–40 minutes from the motorway exit).

Coming from the south:

Take the Brenner motorway A22 exit Neumarkt/Auer, drive through Montan into the Fleimstal, continue towards Cavalese, at the roundabout at the entrance to the village of Cavalese take the turnoff to Varena towards the Lavazèpass, from there westwards via the pass road to the parking lot of Jochgrimm (Italian Passo Oclini) (driving time: about 45 minutes from the motorway exit).

If arriving by bus, we recommend traveling via Bozen and the Eggental.
