    Roadbook

From Laives/Leifers trail no. 1 follows the road into the Brantental valley. At the building "Haus Emmaus" the trail to the Maria Weißenstein pilgrimage site starts. This trail passes the chapel of St. Peter and arrives at the former inn Halbweg. From here you have to follow trail no. 12B, which goes downhill into the Brantental valley and to the former Schwabhof inn. From there, the high-altitude trail of Laives/Leifers (path no. 12) climbs steeply northwards and along a partly narrow but well-secured path, which leads along the sunny porphyry walls of the Vallarsa valley. After a magnificent vantage point, where the view covers the entire Val d'Adige/Etschtal valley, a wide path, shaded by chestnut trees, leads to the "Steinerhöfe", a double farm with a chapel. From there follow path nr. 11 to return to Laives/Leifers.
