The tour starts from the Auerleger alp following the way nr. 2 to Jochgrimm. Arriving on the street we turn right and follow the way nr. 1 to the Neuhütt alp.
After 2km we reach the calcium stove, which was built in the 19th century with the stones of the Weißhorn mountain. The calcium was used to built and paint houses. The people filled the pit with the stones and firewood coverd with clay. They set it on fire, which burned for seven hours. When the fire stopped burning they took the stones out to be further processed in the village.
To return to the Auerleger alp we follow the same way back.

Von der Auerlegeralm nehmen Sie den Waldweg Nr 2 bis Jochgrimm. An der Asphaltstraße angekommen folgen Sie dieser ca 100 m und biegen rechts in den Wiesenweg Nr. 1 Richtung Neuhütt ein. Nach 2 km finden Sie den Hinweiß nach links hinauf und 100 m zum sehr gut erhaltenen Kalkofen. In diesem Kalkofen wurde bis zur Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts das Kalkgestein des Weißhorns gebraut. Der Kalk wurde zum Bauen und Anstreichen der Gebäude verwendet.
„Die Grube wurde mit Brennholz gefüllt und darauf kam das Kalkgestein. Mit Lehm wurde dann alles zugedeckt und Feuer gemacht, das ca 7 Std. brannte. Die Steine wurden dann herausgenommen und im Dorf wurden sie weiter verarbeitet.“ Nach der Besichtigung kehren wir auf den ursprünglichen Weg zurück und folgen diesem bis zum Hinweis Auerleger Alm. Rechts eingebogen steigen wir durch Mischwälder zum Ausgangspunkt zurück.
