The Altenburg Adventure Park is located just above the St. Anton sports zone car park. This is where the hiking trail towards Altenburg begins. We follow the pleasant path through the forest to Altenburg. There are several benches and a fountain with drinking water along the way. Once you reach the church in Altenburg, you come directly to the viewpoint behind it. In Altenburg itself, there are several inns where you can stop for refreshments (please note that there are rest days). From the viewing platform, the trail descends steeply down the mountain to the Peace-bridge and St Peter's ruins. This is where the section to the Rastenbach gorge begins. Stairs and bends take you down into the gorge. Now you follow the stream and cross bridges and steps until you reach the first viewing platform. From here, several steps lead down to the waterfall. You have reached the lowest point of the hike, from here you climb up several steps to the second viewing platform. After a short rest, continue upwards along the Bärental hiking trail. This section of the trail is somewhat challenging and winds its way upwards along a narrow path. Once you reach the crossroads, follow the Peace Trail towards Kaltern. The Peace Trail stretches through the Altenburg forest and leads back to the starting point - the St. Anton sports zone - via various points of reflection.
